What kind of hypothesis testing question is this?
A market analyst states the mean number of statistical references per article in business journals is 7. Alex states her choice of four journals significantly reduces the amount of statistics she has to “fight through to get to the important stuff.” To support this she conducts and appropriate hypothesis test. Does the evidence support her hypothesis that her choice of journals carries significantly fewer statistical references?
I dont understand what type of hypothesis testing I should use. Does this question make since to anyone else? I’m given data about her journals but Im not sure where to go from here… any help?
You need to test to see if the sample of 4 journals is staistically significant to base your conclusions on
