How to Market a Franchise. Serious answers only from experienced business people.?
A couple years ago, I completed the development of a green janitorial franchise. This was a process that took 5 years, the registration of my service mark, the use of copywriters and marketing people as well as many other things. I spent over $10,000 attending two busines and franchise shows to promote the franchise, but came up with no sales. The first show was, of course, my first and I was inexperienced. The second show was just a dud with way too low attendance. Marketing online will cost over $1300 a month and a small add in a national magazine runs around $3000 now.
This is a great venture as I was offered $5million for the whole package at the first show, but refused as I know it is worth much more.
The problem and the question is how do I market this franchise without spending an arm and a leg? Getting it to this point has taken everything I had.
So you can direct me more specifically in how to market this, take a look at my site http://envirocleanonline.com
Your market looks like a growing one in today’s growing education of chemical exposure and it’s side effects. I would first work on redoing the logo. It’s a good concept, but I think it could use a more modern look to it, this could create more franchise memberships alone, of course it probably won’t.
Not sure how easy redoing a logo will be if you have product already stamped and labeled.
You need a good marketing plan influenced around education and geography. Study demographics of different regions before you plan an attack. My best guess for a good market would be Seattle and San Francisco for starters. Work on creating white papers, if not case studies of franchise owners, perhaps case studies of satisfied clients. Market these studies.
If you devise a PPC online campaign to increase ownerships I would advise stating franchise fees in the advertisement to retain more quality clicks.
I have heard of many B2B companies doing well with Business.com however their PPC is higher than average.
There is a lot of work involved, but these might help you out.
