Need advise, please.?
I have a 98 Dodge Intrepid, two 15in’ kicker comp subs, an after market stereo, and a 1100 directed amp 5-channel.
All i need is the installation, originally i was going to get a capacitor and a wire kit along with that.
Well, i went to best buy, an employee told me i shouldn’t need a capacitor, since my alternator and battery are good stock items. He recommended that i should get a Rockford Fosgate RFK4X 4 gauge wiring kit, and i should be good. The price of the wiring kit is $105.99 plus tax there, i found one on the internet for $85 including shipping. He also told me that they will install everything for $70. So please, tell me your opinion.
Additional information: Due to the 5 channel amp, both of my subs will be going into one outlet from the amp. Those are the only speakers that will be hooked up to the amp.
I agree with him….just get the 4 gauge wire….but if you ever plan on upgrading you may want to go ahead and run 0 gauge.
