When it comes to working from home, affiliate marketing is a great way to go. And for those of you who don’t know what affiliate marketing is, over the next few minutes I am going to tell you what it is and how you can use it to make money from the comfort of your home. At its very core, affiliate marketing is nothing more then selling a product someone else created for a commission.

Once you sign up with an affiliate network, you will be given your own personal link that you will use to promote various products. You can either promote the products online, offline or both. It is totally up to you. Each network has a very complex tracking systems in place that ensures you will always get paid for every sale you refer. Usually the stats are in real time and you can check them at anytime to see how many people have clicked your link and how many sales you have made.

But before you can start promoting products and getting paid for it, you must sign up with an affiliate network. The most popular ones include clickbank, linkshare, paydotcom and commission junction. And the great thing about all four of those I just listed is that there is no approval process. You can get started immediately. Some networks have an approval process and if you can’t prove you know what you are doing, they won’t accept you.

However, the one network I suggest you start with is clickbank. For a beginner they are the way to go. Their interface is very user friendly and they provide a lot of content on their blog that will help you get things going the right way.

They also have a lot of great products that tend to sell like hot cakes. Most vendors on clickbank provide you with all types of materials that will help you get sales quickly. Which is a great thing for you because the quicker you make your first sale, the happier you will be.

And the best part is that most clickbank products pay out up to an astonishing 75% commission. So let’s do a little math to show you how much money you can make from home on a part time basis.

Lets say you are promoting a $47 ebook that pays out $35.25 for every sale you refer. If you just make one sale a day, you would make an extra $1,092.75 a month. Not bad right?
